I keep asking myself about why the MP’s think Bahrain would be a better place if it was a bit harder for people to buy and consume alcohol. Who is teaching them this bullshit? And why are they wasting our time talking about this in the first place? This is miss representation wearing its ugliest of masks looking to open a door to taking freedoms; it has nothing to do with Islam and everything to do with twisted personal agendas.

at no point was the Islamic empire empty of alcohol, or sin for that matter. There were always Jews, Christians, and many other religious groups living within the empire and lived their life's normally just like they did BEFORE Islam came in power. The people did what they wanted to do as long as no one was in harm’s way. There were bars (5ammarat), gambling houses, and whore houses even. Take example in Andalusia, the best era for Islam and Muslims.

Sin is between one and his god; it has nothing to do with how the country is run or policy. God never asked to remove peoples' freedoms from them in his name. those who sin will answer to him when the time is right, and god decides when that time is.God through his words in the Quran did not ask of mortals to go ahead and fight those who drink, or stop them from doing business (including the sale and distribution of alcohol). God however was a much better business man than the idiots who think they work for him today, God asked us to tax those who sold Alcohol and use their money to build the empire (really small island is our case).
Today in Bahrain we need to realize our real problems and set our goals on fixing them, and it doesn’t take much to fix Bahrain, all it takes is real politicians in office with a vision and knowledge. The clergy men do not belong to the Parliament and should not interfere with policy. We have a ton of important issue, our future is bleak and the answer is not in the mosque, the answer is knowledge and education, exactly what MP's currently in office lack.

My main concern is not with alcohol, the supply is not going to stop and wither you like it or not this rule is not going to change anything in the Bahrain you see today, if you don't see it then you need to change your glasses, 14 days left in this term and the days are between us. my concern is with this being a door that we don't want to open, we don't need to be taking peoples freedoms away from them. I don't want to say the day when my wife or mom can't drive their cars, and I don't want religious police to follow me every time I'm in the mall and shout at me to pray.
